Pedagogical Professional (Den Haag 16-36 hour per week)
About Villa Bloom
Villa Bloom was founded in 2011 with the first location at Loosduinen in The Hague. We now have six locations, five of which are in The Hague and one in Wassenaar, but we remain a small-scale organization. This creates a personal atmosphere in which the lines of communication are short, the involvement is palpable and visible and there is a lot of attention to quality. Not only the children, but also our employees feel at home with us and can develop optimally.
Our vision is “Those who spend a lot of time in nature also want to protect it later.” And you will immediately taste it when you enter our home, in the oasis of soft, natural tones and sustainable materials. Because you only really experience nature outside, we often take the children to the park and the forest, and we take care of the vegetable garden together.
What will you do as a pedagogical employee at Villa Bloom?
As a pedagogical employee at Villa Bloom you are responsible for the daily care, development and care of a group of children at one of Villa Bloom’s six locations. We have optimized our policy, both pedagogically and for the pedagogical employee, so that we can also give you the opportunity to give your own development space and time through training and workshops (both in-house and external). The pedagogical policy mainly emphasizes Pikler and Montessori and you will receive all the support you need. We are a bilingual organization and therefore speak Dutch & English with colleagues and the children.
What else will you do as a pedagogical employee?
You create a situation within the group in which children feel safe and encourage children to develop further by implementing the pedagogical policy plan.
You guide children in daily activities and ensure correct pedagogical behavior as described in Villa Bloom’s pedagogical policy plan.
You organize activities aimed at development, both inside and outside the location.
You are ultimately responsible for mentoring the assigned children, supported by the pedagogical coach and the location manager.
You monitor the development of children through observation methods and report or inform the location manager and the pedagogical coach about this monthly through group consultations and child files and reports.
You perform light household duties in the group and are responsible for the hygiene and good condition of the inventory. Light household activities are defined as those household activities that arise from or are related to working with children.
You attend various courses and team events to continue to improve professional skills
If present in the group, you guide and instruct the group assistants and interns and report on this periodically to the location manager and/or the pedagogical coach.
