Infant Program 0-1 years
Our Infant Program provides a warm, welcoming environment where an infant can grow from a bundle of joy to a curious and exploring child. The infants will be cared for and guided by nurturing pedagogical professionals who are focused on creating experiences and opportunities that invite exploration and support the rapid and important development that is occurring in a child’s first year.
The purpose of our education is to promote motor and sensory development. The environment is therefore arranged in such a way that the child can benefit from this. The child selects what it needs within that environment and thus develops various functions, such as talking, walking or observing. During this period it is extremely sensitive to environmental stimuli that contribute to this. It is the task of the pedagogical professional to give the child the opportunity to gain many impressions and experiences in the environment. She prepares the environment in such a way that the child has all the possibilities to do so.
Environment
Our classrooms are equipped with playing mats, a mirror and pull-up barre and diverse materials to provoke a child in their development. Such as materials with different textures, colors, shapes and sizes for the child to explore and experience. Our youngest children can explore the wooden box with angled sides, to develop gross motor skills.
We use soft tones of colors and natural materials in the interior, and choose to place toys that have a purpose and help children grow within their development. The toys we use are made out of wood and / or organic materials. By exception we use plastic and brightly colored materials.
We provide more than just daycare; at Villa Bloom we are focused on keeping infants happy, engaged, and secure.
For this reason we have installed a ground box in our groups. It is possible to use this designated area when the pedagogical professional likes to organize an activity in which the older children move around the room. This ground box provides a safe and secure space for the younger children to explore and enjoy their play time.
Professionals
Warm and nurturing interactions with caregivers, days spent in a home-like environment for learning, individualized attention and experiences, and meaningful relationships with parents are the cornerstones of our daycare program for infants. We personalize care for each infant based on his or her unique schedule, nutritional guidelines, and any other special attention he/she requires.
