Villa Bloom will open a new Out of School Care location  in The Hague on 1 September 2019: Villa Bloom Sport Academy!

Our mission is to make school-age children move around and get some physical exercise while having fun. The children are offered the chance to play multiple sports, go outside a lot, get healthy snacks and learn about the importance of teamwork. This Villa Bloom location is bilingual, meaning Dutch and English are spoken. Therefore, it’s important that you are fluent in both languages. For our new sports concept we are immediately looking for a:

Do you have a background in education, sports and exercise, activity guidance or childcare? Then consider a job in Out of School Care. The combination of childcare and sports may make this the perfect job for you! In addition, Villa Bloom has a lot to offer.

The position

The children come to the location after school and are stimulated to move around by means of sports and games. These can be different every day. Together with you, the children will discover what talents they have and what they enjoy most. Playing outside is very important for the development of children, and around the beautiful green location many opportunities exist to do so. You’ll develop – together with the Out of School Manager –  a ‘Sports and Games’ programme where you can implement your expertise and experience.

Team spirit

Especially children that participate in team sports from a young age are able to reap the benefits of doing so. They are able to learn and focus better. An explanation for this is that they feel part of a team at a young age, and realize the (social) significance and meaning of rules and responsibilities. In addition, being part of a team and having a common goal creates a sense of belonging. As a sports professional, you are an important part of the team and a real team player!

Healthy food

Healthy eating habits are an essential part of our vision on high quality childcare. At Villa Bloom, the children eat lots of fresh fruits and drink water. We also maintain a ‘no sugar’ policy. Moving around and getting enough physical exercise is again important here as well. You will set the right example, showing them that a healthy lifestyle is fun, feels good and creates a healthy body.

A bilingual education fits into a society in which English plays an increasingly important role. By offering the English language at a young age, the language sensitivity of children is optimally utilized. We expect you to speak Dutch or English fluently. We use the principle: ‘one teacher – one language’; this means teachers consistently either speak Dutch or English.
